NutriMill to Mill Grains at Home
What started out as a hobby has become our way of life here in the Miller house-hold. For years now, I have been home milling and baking with freshly milled flour. Because of the Country GrainMill , it has been really easy to incorporate fresh, whole grains into my family's diet on a daily basis. The ease of this small home mill is amazing and takes no more time to use than it takes to gather all your baking ingredients. The NutriMill is generous enough in size to mill enough flour for baking several treats; it has a adjustable power and coarseness and it is quick and simple to use.
The variable texture of the mill allows for multiple dry grains and legumes to be milled into flour. I am able to mill from the smallest wheat kernels to kidney beans in the same mill - even at the same time. The bottom container (hopper) where the flour collects has the capacity to store up to 20 cups of freshly milled flour.
The NutriMill is a readily available small kitchen appliance that is no larger on the counter than a crock pot. It can be easily stored and stacked away if the counter space is not always available.
Just place the dry grain (non oily) in the top of the mill, set the preferred speed and turn the coarseness dial to the chosen texture. It's that easy! In a short amount of time the NutriMill has milled all the grain. It takes no longer than gathering the other ingredients needed for the recipe and now we have fresh, warm, whole wheat flour ready for wholesome and nourishing goodies.
By using the NutriMill I have not only added whole grains to our healthier diet, but I have also saved us money. By milling corn for cornbread, beans for adding protein and wheat for bread and countless other dry grains and legumes we have changed our eating habits here at Miller home. Foods made with freshly milled flour are full of all the nutrients and vitamins as it was intended.
